With 300 days of sunshine, the Costa del Sol offers an excellent climate for golfers. Rains and strong air are the exception here. Is located on the southern coast Spain, the largest number of golf courses per square meter in the whole of Europe (“Costa del Golf”)
In the coming weeks, we will introduce some golf courses here.
Guadalmina Club de Golf
The South Course has eucalyptus trees, pine trees and jacarandas, which are found numerous on hilly terrain. The fairways are very narrow and thus also relatively difficult to play. The North Course is also very well maintained, however, is slightly less recommendable for beginners.
Marbella Club Golf Resort
The Marbella Club is a par 72 golf course, which was opened in 1999 and designed and built by Dave Thomas. The course condition is fantastic, with excellent fairways and roughs and attractive greens. Particularly fascinating are the views that it’s offer from the whole resort. From 18th hole tee you have a clear view of the African coast and Gibraltar. The owners of the golf course are the two best hotels in Marbella, Marbella Club and the Puente Romano Hotel, which guarantees a perfect service. No doubt that you must visit the Marbella Club Golf Resort, if you are on the Costa del Sol.
Atalaya Golf & Country Club
The Old Course is considered to be a rather easier place for a handicap standard, while the New Course is ideal for more experience players. The slightly hilly terrain, surrounded by pine and eucalyptus trees, have always a view of the Mediterranean Sea.
